Week 3 : Articulation

1. My argument

I want to argue about human and languages. Does human get language by innate ability or Does human learn language by acquired effort? People always use languages, so the languages are very natural things to us. However, if we considered animals which can't speak language, we could realize that talking language is very amazing and question  how human can talk language. This question has been the most interesting, questionable and mysterious question in linguistics. And the answers are divided into two opinions-humans 'get' languages, and humans 'learn' languages. And the opinion that humans 'acquire' languages becomes more credible nowadays. That's why my opinion is that parents should make their babies listen foreign languages since they are young.

2. How I found my argument

In my 5 research questions, number 2 was 'Is there a correlation between psychology and linguistics?', because I'm interested in linguistics. And number 3 question was 'what is nurture and nature?', because in Harvard sampler, the two thins was very interesting to me, so I wanted to research about them. Then, I found one topic which can be answer to those two questions-how human speak language? One of the answers to that topic question was argued by Chomsky, who was very famous psychologist, and two famous answers to it was two opinions-nurture which means learned, and nature which means innate. I researches about these and I think nature is more reasonable and has more evidences. Then, I made my opinion with it.

3. New  research  questions

-What are two opinions about topic?
-What are problems and good things in those two opinions?
-What is the reason that language acquisition is more reasonable?
-Why am I arguing the opinion?
-How relevant are my opinion and language acquisition?
